We decided to get off the beaten track of the centre of Paris and headed over to the park des Buttes Chaumont for the next edition our Les enfants a Paris playdate with children’s fashion photographer Emily Kornya.
Set high up in Belleville and often missed by weekenders keen not to stray too far from the tourist loop, this 19th arrondissement gem is one of the city’s most magical hotspots.
It feels like a place to run wild in, to play games and go adventuring. There’s rocks, waterfalls, a temple …. And one big difference in the Park des Buttes Chaumont as opposed to some other French parks is that lolling on the grass is not forbidden.
The park is open everyday, from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. during summer / until 9 p.m. in winter.
Address: Place Armand Carrel, 75019 Paris, France
Anaelle (left) is wearing a bunny print top combined with her crosses all over skirt. Manon (right) is wearing her tutu skirt.
On their way to find the other kids. Lou is wearing a weightlifter T-shirt, Nonie is wearing her demin dress in the colour Indigo with 3/4 sleeves, leggings with a deer print and legwarmers.
Myriam is wearing a demin jacket combined with a purple with black tulle skirt. Alexander is wearing his paper planes T-shirt and grey slim leg jeans.
The children had so much fun!! Merci beaucoup a tous!
Le Temple de la Sybille (yes, this is in Buttes Chaumont!) is perched on a sculpted island in the middle of a man-made lake. And a view it does offer.
Léana is wearing a dip dye look sweater combined with horse print leggings
I spot Clara in this season’s peanut trousers.
The children loved climbing on the rocks around the temple, which I’ll admit made me nervous (and which is probably why it was so much fun) but I believe it’s time for a gouter now?!
Salomé in her cat owl bunny dress
Stella is dressed in and beautiful sweater and skirt and black handmade leather shoes
Lou combined her weightlifter top with high waist denim skirt.
Nael in a blazer, T-shirt and jeans
A warm and cosy puffa coat is an essential piece for the winter months. Time to go home now Juliane must have thought! See you next time!
