Did you know that when you add up all the time your children spend at day care, in school, asleep, at friends’ homes, with babysitters, at camp, and otherwise occupied with activities that don’t include you, the remaining moments become especially precious. There are only 940 Saturdays between a child’s birth and him leaving for college. That may sound like a lot, but how many have you already used up? If your child is 4 years old, 208 Saturdays are gone. Poof! And the older your kids get, the busier their Saturdays are with friends and activities. Ditto Sundays.
Now that Alexander is 4 years old he is his allowed to start a sport / activity. Music lessons, mini tennis, dancing, football, pony riding… A lot of his friends will start 3 activities! but we have decided to start with just one, mini-tennis, which is Wednesday afternoons. Alexander’s daddy works long hours during the week so that’s why he enjoys spending Saturday mornings just with his little boy. He takes him on a little adventure, or sometimes they only go for a walk to the shop around the corner to get eggs and bacon sp they can prepare a nice breakfast together. We would like to keep the weekend ‘free’ for the moment to spend time together.
So boys, get ready to go out so I can enjoy a coffee in the sun 😉
