Each year, the Horse Museum of Chantilly takes you on a fabulous fairy-tale journey to celebrate the Christmas holidays. This year, from 28 November 2015 to 3 January 2016, discover ‘La Belle et la Bete’ (The beauty and the Beast).
Belle lived peacefully with her father and sisters in a thatched cottage on the edge of the enchanted Forest of Mysteries. Legend had it that those who dared to enter the forest were never seen again… Belle would often ride her horse through the surrounding fields and prairies.
One afternoon, surprised by a thunder storm, Belle’s horse takes off and plunged her into the heart of the forest. Little did Belle expect the adventure that awaited her…
Last weekend I suprised my mother and Alexander with tickets to ‘La Belle et la Bete’.
We took the train from central Paris to Chantilly, only 20 min! And from the train station it’s about a 15-20 walk to the Grandes Écuries where the show takes place. On the way there we stopped on the main square of this beautiful village for a crepe and had a look around.
We arrived at the Grandes Écuries about 30 min before the show, perfect on time.
Tickets ready, let’s go!
The show is about to start!
What a great show! We truly enjoyed it! The horses, Beauty, The beast, everything was just perfect and more importantly, a great show for children!
