PLAYING ON THE STREET

On the pavement outside my parent’s house is a giant chalk mermaid, flanked a hopscotch pitch and a gallery of indistinguishable squiggles. The artists? The children in their street.

As long as I can remember there have been water fights, hide and seek, hula-hooping and dinners eaten outside in the middle of the square. All children on their street seem to know each other’s names, they are like a little gang! When the doorbell rings unexpectedly during the day, it is as likely to be eight-year-old Daan from across the street, to ask if alexander is coming to play outside (unsupervised!).

It reminds me of when I was little! We had so much fun playing on the street! Sometimes I wish this was possible in Paris… Alexander would absolutely love it! Playing outside, unsupervised, on the streets in Paris, can you imagine?! I don’t think so!! Or at least, not where we live…

That’s why it’s so lovely to see him enjoy these 2 weeks at my parents house in Holland, where this is possible.

It looks like Sonya and Lina are having fun in their street as well!

Get inspired with another sneak peek of some designs of the AW15 collections from EFVVA, HebeMacarons, I love Gorgeous and Raspberry Plum.
