New York Fashion Week’s mini upstart, petitePARADE, is a biannual weekend of shows dedicated to kids fashion that’s just notched up its sixth season. Guests squeezed into a cozy warehouse space in Chelsea to see the latest collections from brands such as IMOGA, Alivia Simone and Mischka Aoki.
It is not a secret that kids fashion is often a reflection of trends for grown-ups. Girls and boys like to copy their parents in everything including clothing. We selected some trends for you that you can expect to see coming Winter.
All-over prints are everywhere, with classic patterns such as flowers, animal prints, stars, camouflage and plaid.
Shades of black: this winter’s palette has a lot of preppy colours like red and Bordeaux, hunter green and navy, appearing everywhere on black shades like nearly black, charcoal and more.
Materials for girls and boys: Elements of fake leather and fake fur have now made it to kidswear. We like! Do you?
