Danish designer Anette Nordrup found a drawing of a matchstick man her husband drew when he was 4 years old and decided that the little fella would become the logo for her label GRO. A children’s fashion brand for boys and girls from newborn to 10 years old.
An old used button, some funny patch pockets in an old movie and every-day-life in general is what inspires Anette. The cuts are clean, but the lovely details are what make GRO’s design totally unique. Anette has carefully selected the different colours and patterns, so that both they, and the different parts, can be mixed in all sorts of combinations.
The AW13 collection, like the rest, is comfortable and contemporary. Basic clothes in soft organic cotton, wool, etc. We see beautiful autumnal colours combined with pastels and prints simple to facilitate sports.
