Imagine an enchanted forest, carpeted with wild flowers in all shades of autumn leaves and watched over by ancient, majestic oak trees. This woodland, somewhere beyond time, inspired the Marie-Chantal AW19 collection.
Marie-Chantal’s design team immersed themselves in a world of romantic folklore, inhabited by flora and fauna to create this season’s exclusive prints. Heart and fern motifs, vine prints and wildflower and mushroom designs capture the magic of this spellbound forest.
The canopy of the woodland, from the rich dark greens of the foliage to the moss and olive greens of its floor, provided the colour palette for Autumn/Winter. A pop of raspberry, lavender and neutral shades highlight this rich and warm autumnal story.
Luxury British heritage fabrics are used across the collection; coats are made from Scottish plaids, tweeds come in lavenders and lovat greens and the softest of woollens are knitted into fairisle sweaters and cardigans, expertly designed to keep our little friends warm and cosy as the winter sets in.
When the party season arrives, silk dupion dresses finished with satin ribbons, tulle overlay flecked with silver glitter and crystal embellishment make their entrance. Velvet dresses with detachable lace collars in soft pinks and smokey greys join plaid smocked dresses to complete this enchanting story.
