There’s a new online shoe shop for children that we think you should know about. It’s called I Adore Little Feet and they sell beautiful shoes for boys and girls between the ages of 1 and 8 years old.
Time for an interview with Nicole, one of the owners of I Adore Little Feet.
Nicole, can you tell us a little bit more about yourself and your shop?
The I Adore Little Feet children’s on-line shoe shop came about from a desire to specialise in offering high quality and stylish leather shoes in one place from various Spanish and Italian brands – kind of like a one-stop shoe shop, where discerning parents could find many different styles of footwear for boys and girls aged one to eight, to suit all budgets and to stand out from the choices on the high street.
The idea came about when our twin girl and boy started to find their feet in early 2013 and we found ourselves more attracted to the brands on offer in Spain and Italy. So last summer we (mum Nicole and dad Nick) visited the international shoe tradeshows in Italy and then France, met the manufacturers, picked the styles we liked, made them to our order and then launched on-line with the SS14 collection.
Along the way we have met many parents who tell us that they shared our views and we still hear the same message today. So we hope that we are offering parents something stylish, a little bit stand-out and, most importantly, REALLY GOOD for little feet. We know that parents are concerned with the proper growth of their children’s feet and that natural materials like leather are best because they are breathable and give more flexibility. We also know that parents now appreciate that children’s fashion is not just about the clothes but about the shoes to complement the outfit.
We just love children’s shoes. It’s the gorgeous colours, shapes and styles that get us all excited. Those little toes taking their first proud steps right through to the age when they become fashion-conscious and want to step out in style. There are so many wonderful children’s manufacturers out there and we only get to represent a few of them in our shop at the moment. But our challenge is to expand our offering to bring more of these brands on-line and to continue to offer a shopping experience that is pleasing, happy, convenient, quick and with free returns from the UK.
And now whilst we are all enjoying the warm summer sunshine, we are busy putting together our bbbrrrrrrrrr AW14 collections to show on-line in the coming weeks. Every shoe we love. There’s a bit more sparkle for the festive season and some bolder prints for fun but overall it’s all good, comfortable, handmade and stylish.
