Kids Fashion

Founded by Melissa Wang, eden & zoe was started with a wish to keep her daughters comfortable, cozy and stylish. Her girls decided that their knitwear was too “itchy”, so she started looking into natural materials like cashmere, merino wool and pure cotton for them. She found it hard to find quality knitwear in styles that she and her girls liked, so she decided to create the clothes herself.

Melissa’s aim is to make knitwear for children that is sophisticated and understated. She believes in classic styling with a modern twist. She likes to think about the details that make a garment unique yet timeless. Most importantly, it is about your child feeling comfortable and confident in what she/he is wearing.

Each collection is made in small quantities to ensure quality and exclusivity. Their pieces are created using a hand-operated knitting loom and finished by hand. Many pieces are entirely hand knitted and sewn.

eden & zoe clothing is made to be worn, enjoyed and shared.

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see my stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake,
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sounds’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

“Winter Woods” is the inspiration for the eden & zoe AW18 collection. “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening” by Robert Frost is one her daughters’ favourite poems, and is especially loved and recited during the holiday season.

In designing her latest collection, she was inspired by the beauty and serenity of snowy woods in the winter. At the same time, although the woods appear seemingly quiet, there are animals to spot, greenery to discover, and a sense of adventure at every turn. Embracing this spirit of exploration, she created contemporary cashmere and fine merino wool knits, as well as knits in new combinations with winter textiles with floral inspired patterns and tweed.

This autumn/winter collection includes occasion wear, which is perfect for the holiday season, as well as classic every day pieces. Intricate patterns (on the Adele dress) and florals (on the Harper skirt) are among Melissa’s top picks, as are classic staples (Celine and Riley pullovers) for girls and boys. They have a tutu skirt (Imogen sparkle skirt), which is always a seasonal favourite. They also introduce fun faux fur collars for girls, and gorgeous hand knit booties for babies this season.

You will recognise the classic eden & zoe palette of grey, pink and white for girls, with the additional colours of purple and black for this season. For boys, they have the staple shades of blue and grey, with the introduction of brown for this collection. Size 13-14 is a newly added size for older boys and girls.
