Chandamama (moon in hindi) is inspired by a passion for travel and life all over the globe and a love in particular for India. Chandamama uses beautiful fabrics and loves colours, brilliant ones as well as halftone ones and embraces the use of the old technique of Indian block printing and the use of natural Indian fabrics and dyes. The collection is hand made or hand finished in India.
Chandamama’s AW17 collection is made up of cozy, comfortable and chic pieces that explore the right balance of opulence and indulgence. It includes closet staples that can be matched with everything and anything in a girl’s closet, even when the weather starts getting a little warmer. There are a variety of textures, for example cute fleece items and chic velvet for the festive time of year. The pine green and saragon yellow give the perfect pop of colour for a winter wardrobe.
The founder of Chandamama, Chantal Kumar, is a big believer in matching style with comfort, especially for children. She thinks that talking and listening to her daughter Anna, has helped her to create pieces that look chic and can yet withstand an intense session of playing outside.
