Beauty comes in different forms yet, we are continuously fed the same images. While images in the media are slowly become more diverse and inclusive, there’s still a wide gap when it comes to children of colour seeing positive images that look like them. To widen the lens, Regis and Kahran, the husband and wife duo behind CreativeSoul Photography, have created the AfroArt project, a series of stunning photographs showcasing “the beauty and versatility of afro hair.”
CreativeSoul Photography has an online shop where images from the AfroArt series can be purchased as prints, calendars, and other products.
